According to the motivation, the Selection Committee appreciated the project “Human Scale” for its approach to a theme rarely analyzed in contemporary architecture, but so essential throughout the history of architecture, namely the architectural drawing, which has evolved independently, especially since the 20th century, from the plastic arts as a tool for communicating projects. The exploration of architectural drawing as a form of thinking and its connection with the themes of modernity and post-humanism underlines the relevance of an architecture centered on people and their essential connections with space. The exhibition explores the area of overlap between visual arts and architecture, through a dialog between the drawings of Romanian architects of the 20th century and the work of the artist Vlad Nancă, known for his works that process the elements and details of built architecture from the second half of the last century, also using as points of reference and language the architectural drawings of architects of the same period. Both exhibition spaces present an impressive collection of architectural drawings by famous modern and contemporary Romanian architects.
